Name: Ezra (8 months)
Location: Oakland, CA
Color Inspiration: Forests and meadows and the natural world. Nearly everything in Ezra's room is animal and nature-themed (his mom is a veterinarian and a wildlife ecologist), and the green walls help bring a bit of the forest into what was otherwise a drab room. The orange accents also liven things up. We live in a quite old, small apartment, and simple things like adding a coat of bright paint on the walls, painting the ugly wall radiator, and adding some warm mood lighting really helps to freshen up the space.
Tip for Using Color: Don't be afraid to be bold with color, though allow for some calming tones and areas as well.
Colors Used: Behr Premium Plus Thyme Green. The Premium Plus is nice because it includes a primer, allowing one to paint a room in two coats and one day. Also used pumpkin orange and brown.

What a cheerful, fun room with so much to look at and learn from; yet, it isn't overwhelming. Thumbs up on Ezra's Animal Kingdom! I also love how mom incorporated her background into decorating.
This room is down to earth and one that any child would love. It's a room that kids would enjoy and appreciate, unlike a space created by a designer for the parents just to look at.
As an artist i appreciate the bold greens and oranges offset by the warm brown. The mood created in this room draws a child in to play or rest.
This room brings the outdoors indoors-simple and effective with a great color scheme. What child wouldn't enjoy this cheerful place?!
