Fab has great designs, some good deals. But their shipping is a real problem. A 4-8 week wait doesn't seem reasonable.
The Fab site is never even functional. I've only ever been able to get on there a handful of times. I hope they use that $ to invest in building a website that isn't 100% dependent on images that never load.
alecM, you said it. I have an order with them that is 20 days overdue and counting. It's a customer service fiasco.
Agreed on Fab. They have great stuff - I like it because it keeps to a "modern" aesthetic, and they have jewelry.
But the shipping cost for a ring in a tiny box was way too high, and they sent it signature required (even though it wasn't a *high* dollar value purchase) without mentioning that, which if I had known, I would have had it shipped to a different address.
And yeah, I'm waiting on another order that hasn't been shipped yet.
Hopefully with that $$ they can hire more support staff.
I have gotten Planterworx boxes from Fab and saved over $150. But their shipping schedule sucks.
Hi everyone. Jason Goldberg, CEO of Fab.com here.
Thanks for all your excitement about our launch.
We're taking steps now to improve the shipping process dramatically. It's somewhat tough since many of the items on Fab.com are not even built until they are ordered. We don't sit on a warehouse of inventory of such items.
Working on it...we promise.
Email me directly jason@fab.com if I can answer any questions.
Just coming back to say that I got the item I was waiting on yesterday in the mail, just after I made my comment.
Thanks, Mr. Goldberg, for chiming in here. Fab's *selections* certainly are fantastic.
I have to agree with most of the posters here. Unfortunately the shipping problems have not been resolved, even in time for the holidays. I ordered an xmas gift on November 8th thinking that was plenty of time and I still haven't gotten it. Apparently it magically arrived at their warehouse yesterday but it still won't be shipped to me in time so I canceled it. Now I have to re-shop for xmas. And sadly I love the offerings on Fab and am sad to say I won't be shopping there anymore.
Despite what Mr. Goldberg says, meganpman is right. I decide to give them another chance and ordered a bentwood dog bowl in October. They sent us a note over a month ago and said it would arrive late but before Xmas. We are still waiting...
