We've been looking for some out of the ordinary bedroom lighting this month. In our space, tabletop lamps are too bulky, pendants get in the way and the ceiling fan combo our loft came with, just isn't cutting it. So we started thinking outside the box, which led us to — Flamingos. Lots of Flamingos.
The folks over at Bindle Art and Design are the ones who decided 6 flamingos were better than 1 and most of all, that they should be turned into lighting.
The large chandelier above retails for $350 and the smaller wall sconce for $50 at their Etsy store if making the trip to the northwestern state is out of the question (like it is for us).
We can all but guarantee you'll be the only one in your neighborhood with one and in this case, that's a good thing! Are you into the flamingos as much as we are? Let us know in the comments below!

Shaw's Original Fir...
LOVE LOVE LOVE the flamingos!!! There have been so many offbeat uses for them but I have to say this is the most attractive and supremely functional...put those buzzards to work! Love it. Now I want to figure out how to DIY. I'm thinking those electric window Christmas candles could be used. The bulbs come in a soft pink, too...wouldn't that be sexy!
surprisingly...i LOVE this. probably because i am a floridian.
Very kitschy! I want!
Ha! I had been wondering what to do with the styrofoam turkey decoy in my attic...
That looks surprisingly really cool.
not hot
hahahaa I love it! I want it. Have no idea where I'd put it but that's beside the point.
I also love the froggy wallpaper.
I'm all for 'whimsical' but I could not live with this in my home.
Uhhhh - I love this site, and I hate that one of my few posts has to be negative, but this just seems . . . tacky. :-\
This looks like something the folks over at Anthropologie would come up with. Fun!
I am so not usually a repurposed/scavenged kinda guy, but I think these, especially the chandelier, is brilliant.
In the right setting.
Although, oddly, when you take away the curve from the beak, flamingos look like geese.
Yippeeee! And no animals were harmed in any way.
Oh, and they look like swans, not geese. Geese have shorter necks.
Oddly enough, I love this and will totally DIY one. Of course, convincing my husband to live with it is a different story...
Maybe I'll use it in my new, swanky design office space, yet to be established. LOL!
This is the best thing I have ever seen!
This is a way cool example of how something sooooo horrible in concept and execution can be so AWESOME!!!!!
