We recently heard of Facundo Poj, a Miami-based designer, and were taken in by his beautiful bamboo and reclaimed furniture collection. Poj uses unconventional materials — salvaged cardboard, engineered bamboo, and reclaimed items like tubs and doors — together with non-toxic glues and oak dowels to create handcrafted furniture that is strong, sophisticated, and earth-friendly.

We love his theory of design: Poj spends much of his time looking for treasures in junk yards. He searches for objects with a soul and a lasting quality to them...he values the biography of objects and materials.

Although his Re-Incarnated Collection is creative and cool (not to mention that his Tub Chair (above) seems to be an eco-friendly play on the Saarinen Tulip Chair), his Bamboo Collection definitely take the cake.
