You ever notice that wherever there's a yellow color, there's often a red color, or vice versa? No, people aren't obsessed with mimicking America's favorite pair of condiments; it just so happens that yellow and red, two bright, hot, warm-colored hues, just work well together. But their boldest iterations can sometimes feel a bit harsh, especially if you're in the mood for more subtle palettes as we move into the new season. That's where a soft yellow and a red reminiscent of terra-cotta comes into play. Combined they make for an instantly festive, modern and simple fall color combination. And this season's accessories sport them in lots of different items. Here's ten we spotted recently:
Top Row:
1. Owl Butter Dish $16
2. Latitude Grellow Low Dresser $499
3. Dash and Albert Yacht Stripe Rug in Terracotta $30 - $414
4. Perch Glass Table Lamp $69
5. Traditional Colors Overdyed Patchwork Kilim Rug $150
Bottom Row:
6. Sunshine Tea Towel $9
7. Terracotta Condiment Bowls $12
8. Yellow and White Stripes Cotton Pillow Cover $44
9. Watercolor Dots Dessert Plate $5
10. Spot Bowl $28

fabulous colors! I LOVE the little owl cake forms!
west elm sells these awesome measuring cups in the owl forms too - if you're in love with the red color you can't get that in the butter dishes anymore but you can get them in the measuring cups!
