And, with the last vote cast just about 30 minutes ago, we come to the end of a very colorful contest. We started with over 500 entries, posted hundreds of homes (204 to be exact) and thanks to your voting expertise, wound up with two great places battling it out for top prize. Fall Colors 2008 is now part of (AT) history, except for one last thing...the envelope please....and the winner is...
Jesse! Yes, the man with the bicycle that we've all come to know over the past few weeks is the winner of the 2008 Fall Colors crown.
Congrats to Jesse on his first place win for the Midwest bracket. His prize is $2500 to spend at CB2. Thanks to Jesse for sharing your colorful home and happy shopping!

The silver medal (second prize is $1250 at CB2) goes to Dave and Melanie from the Southwest bracket. Their entry was a close competitor during the weekend voting and a hearty congratulations and thanks goes out to them as well.

The two entries that round out our top 4 spots (and win $625 each at CB2) are our finalists from the East and Northwest, Damien and Rachel and Jason and Ryan.
Congratulations to all!

Thanks to Apartment Therapy for hosting a great contest! Dave and I had a lot of fun!...and congrats to Jesse on the well deserved win!
If this isn't evidence that we need an AT site devoted to the South, I don't know what is. Congrats, Jesse!
The cracked wall in Dave and Melanie´s is perfect!
Congrats Jesse! Your place rocks!
Congrats! I second your suggestion 'amuseumemusically' on representing the south! Way to go guys!
Thank you everyone who voted!
and thank you Apartment Therapy for having such an inspiring and awesome contest.
It is a great great honor to have competed against so many wonderful homes.
I think the thing we need to take most from this contest is to realize that our homes are such personal, private places and regardless of color choices or personal style it is a place that supports people and makes them happy. This is really a tribute to that place we can all get away to, that one place we can really make mistakes in and have them turn into beautiful extensions of ourselves. The backdrop where families form memories. Such a special, almost sacred place that regardless of style and budget is something everyone can learn to appreciate not just because of the way it looks but because of the amazing individuals that inhabit it.
That is what this contest was about color and how it helps support and inspire the lives inside these homes, and I don't think there is one entry that fell short of this. I think every entry should be proud of what they entered. I am so very thankful to have had the opportunity to share in the excitement and candor of every home in this contest.
Thank you again, it was truly an honor.

I just loved seeing all of the posts every day...thank you AT! congrats Jesse, love your home and printed a few pics for my inspiration binder!
Congrats Jesse -- I knew from the moment I saw your entry that you were the man to beat! Looking forward to seeing your full house tour.
This was my favorite ALL the way!!!!! The first time I saw the pictures I was truly inspired!!! Congrats!!
Congrats Jesse!!! I love your place.
I agree with amusememusically though. AT is filled with Yankee propaganda :-) We need a little southern charm, like Hot-lanta, Charleston, Charlotte, New Orleans, or Savannah... places that appreciate a good sweet tea. While I love Orlando, Miami, and Tampa, anyone in the South will tell you they aren't true southern cities. Antebellum homes, magnolias, wraparound porches, Spanish moss, pastel colors.
Come on AT, you know you want to. ;-)
Hmm, it's a nice home but, specifically in terms of using color, I can see why Jesse deserves a gift card -- he can certainly use some help in the color department, and a shopping spree should help. Although, I'd hate to see even more clutter in his home!
I loved both of the top two for different reasons. Thanks for sharing your homes with us.
Soo glad Jesse won. Congratulations!
I'm so tired of seeing houses on AT that look like dorm rooms. It was great to see a place with some style and panache!
