A 'Fall Into Color' Challenge

This month is a celebration of color here on Apartment Therapy with our annual Room For Color contest. It's the perfect time to add a little oomph to your world with some new and exciting color.

I find that color is one of those things that people can sometimes shy away from because they want to stay in their comfort zone, but changing and adding color to your home is such an easy way to make a dramatic difference in your space.

Since we are at the beginning of Fall and the colors are transitioning outside, I think it would be a perfect time to use that as inspiration and change it up indoors as well. I challenge you to add something colorful to your home that you've been drawn to but don't ever buy because it doesn't "fit in". Bring it home and see how it feels in your space. Who knows — maybe that color will keep infiltrating your home, and before you know it you will have a bright, new, exciting room. If you are feeling really up to the challenge and are wanting a major change, try painting a wall, or whole room for that matter. That is a surefire way to add excitement and new energy to your space.

Don't forget to check out Room For Color and all of the color posts this month for inspiration.

Good Luck!
