Teal's perfect because it's deep, rich and jewel-toned enough to evoke a fall feeling without having to fill your space with bold warm colors (if warm colors aren't your thing). It's dramatic enough to stand by itself but it's also subtle enough that it doesn't overwhelm. It looks great with earthy, natural tones and colors and it also works well with many favorite color palettes of summer—meaning that you can start moving in hints and spots of teal and slowly transition your space into a more fall-like palette without having to get rid of a lot of your favorite design elements already in your space. i have tons and tons of teal and can't get enough of it.
oh, and teal is the color of ovarian cancer awareness, too! i believe it's actually for other gynecological cancers as well.
I like it a lot, although I'd have called the sofa turquoise. I like the blue-green, green-blue section of the spectrum, aqua and so forth, when it's clear and saturated. It's tranquil yet bright. Like many posts have pointed out, it's great with MCM.
I do believe it's one of those colors that's flattering to all skin tones. So we'll all look and feel our best sitting in my teal sofa--another great plus!
Teal, my favorite color!
And this couldn't come at a more perfect time - I'm finally moving into a place on my own and get to decorate it with the color scheme I want and was thinking the living area would be mostly cool greys with accents of teal popping up.
That sofa is gorgeous.
oh man.
swoon over that sofa.
Love teal. Currently my go to accessory color. I also use it much in my recent mosaics because its such a hot sellable color!

Teal is my favorite color for every season! I'm drooling a little over that sofa.
I've read that greenish blue colors flatter all complexions, too, unlike some greens and yellows, so they can be good paint colors for the bath and bedroom whether tinted or saturated. Orangeish pinks and pinkish oranges also can flatter different skin tones. I'm unsure about purples.
Love love love this color. I have a ton of wood in my home and this color cools down all the warm wood tones.
My fave as well. Along with the cousing, aqua, turquiose, peacock, et al. Versatile colors that work with nearly anything.
I painted a feature wall in my dining room Behr's Teal Zeal. It's THE best colour. Formal but fun and it looks great with red as an accent colour. I spray painted some wooden bird candle holders red and put them on the wall (put a bird on it!) and it looks brilliant.
We also use our teal wall as the background for all our family photos as it makes us look cooler than we are. Yay, teal!

Also, BBC's The Hour uses a lot of teal in their set design and costume design... I'm just saying...
Annnnnd... you've inspired me to do a teal round-up myself!

Want. Teal. Sofa.
I'm in love with that sofa. It made my eyes say wow!
Am a fan too, the color and the couch.
I love teal! It is my pop color in my living room full of greys and whites.
do you think it is making such a big come back because it was so popular in the 50's and now mid century modern is back in style along with the mad men craze?
How do you *not* call this post "Teal Appeal"?
