After two consecutive weeks of missed dental appointments (lesson learned: never schedule appointments for first thing Monday morning), I'm at the point with my increasingly busy family where I need to step things up in the wall calendar department. This is the first one I've seen that looks good and looks like it could get the job done.

It's more of an adjunct to than a replacement for a proper day planner. You're not going to be able to fit all your meetings and appointments on here, but it's a good place to prominently display at a glance those "Don't forget!" events (er, such as dentist appointments).

At roughly 12 x 15 inches, this calendar is a decent size without being so massive that it takes up a huge chunk of wall real estate, and it's cute enough that I wouldn't mind posting it in a public area of our home. And with columns for five family members, even the dog can have his own! (Point of note: My dog does not actually have appointments.)
