The Tokyo based architect and designer Junya Ishigami created these playful wire chairs for the Italian manufacturer Living Divani. He says “Chairs that live in harmony, like a family. Whilst they are all similar, each chair has a slightly different shape, and its own personality."
There is a wide chair, a tall chair, a short chair, a normal chair and a stool. It’s fun to choose which chair to sit on, depending on the day’s mood. It’s also fun to decide which is your favorite chair. Like a family sitting around a table, so the chairs are arranged around the table.”
The chairs will be available for purchase (in Japan) later this year for 79,800 yen each! (over $1000!)

Those are beautiful! I wish I had $5,000 and a big empty spooky room...
Playful and adorable, I love them.
Wow. To me they all look like "seconds". I sure woul'dnt pay $1000 for one.
Love the look, but they don't appear comfortable to sit in.
It's a charming idea, but I also find them cheap-looking. Ugh, the USD/JPY exchange rate is depressing.... orz
