I don't know about you, but Halloween kind of snuck up on me this year. We've done some of the requisite Fall activities — apple picking, Fall festivals, and corn mazes, but we haven't gotten really in the Halloween spirit around our house. But don't worry, there's still time! Here are fifteen of my favorite late-minute Halloween crafts, activities, and printables from around the web:

The challenge was to design and handcraft bedroom furniture for 3 young children with an extra guest bed. The 17'x 14' room, in the Upper West Side, had to also offer bedroom storage and two desks, thereby creating a well designed, functional, beautiful space.
On Sunday, November 2, we fall back. While many people celebrate the "bonus" hour of sleep, parents of small children often bemoan the fact that their kids did not get the memo, with early morning wake-ups going from bad to worse. With a little planning, parents can ease the time change and stay on schedule with minimal disruptions.
This family room has one big virtue: its large size, but, as you can see, not a lot of effort has gone into making it an appealing space for the family to spend time in. Jacqueline Wheeler was hired to brighten it up and and bring it to its full potential. The result, which includes built-in bunks, a desk nook and plenty of seating, is a stunner:
Two months ago my family packed our bags (all 8 of them) and headed for an overseas stay, a six month overseas stay in our home country of Australia. Now that a little time has passed, and the dust has settled in the pack rooms of my parent's house where we are living, I've learned a few things about what to pack when heading overseas with kids for so, so long.
IKEA's KURA loft bed usually steals the spotlight in terms of hacks and makeovers, but this transformation of the plain Jane MYDAL into a playhouse for an 8-year-old girl shows just how much potential this higher bunk has.
When my daughter was eight months old, she had dropped from the 90th to the 9th percentile for weight and was dangerously hovering on the borderline of failure to thrive. After hospitalizations and many, many tests, it was determined that she had a severe allergy to both dairy and soy, which, unfortunately, is in virtually everything. She was basically limited to eating whole foods. But that didn't mean we wanted to prevent her from participating in all of the things that make childhood fun — birthday parties, Christmas dinners, and yes, trick-or-treat were still on the menu.
You remember moving to your city, right? Do you remember your first night there? The place you ordered in from three nights in a row because your kitchen was still in boxes? Your first apartment, which was perfect because it was yours?
Heather couldn't believe it, but she was about to hit her 15th anniversary of moving to New York. She lives in a different borough now, and has a husband and two kids, but her love affair with her city has remained a constant through life's many changes. Heather says she'll use any excuse to throw a party, but what better reason than her 15th anniversary of living in New York? We helped her customize her party decor at Shutterfly, and then came over to see her gorgeous party setup, including a very original use for coasters – can you spot them?
Q: I'm looking for rental friendly makeover solutions. This room is to be my daughter's bedroom. My daughter is 9. She is active and messy. She doesn't have any color or style preferences (although she doesn't like it to be too girly). The room is not-too-tiny (about 2.6m by 3.5m), with 1 window and built-in wardrobe.
