I really love this. I've always wanted to have a wall full of family pix. I've saved and saved and dragged several boxes from place to place, of photos just for the time when I have my own place and can do it. There's something so very warm and homey about this vignette.
My husband and I have framed photo portraits of our now deceased parents and grandparents. We display them in our guest room and it looks beautiful. But sometimes I secretly call the room The Dead Relative Society.
This is really well done b/c it compliments the tones of the space. But more importantly showing family history in a room where probably families spend most of their time in.
Fantastic is correct.
I remember this post, it was one of my favorite house tours. I'm still coveting Ms. Brown's clogs she wore in one of the pics. Lovely wall.
I have wanted to do a version of this. But somehow I got it into my head that all the frames have to been somewhat identical ( or at least the same colour)
Thanks for showing me there is a beauty in mismatching.
This is my kind of wall of photos. Really well done.
Not that I don't like it, but there's a little room for improvement. Check out some of the other "gallery wall" posts for tips on aligning pictures with horizontal & vertical axes.
