I am very sad about Wondertime, but I felt it coming. Their distribution was terrible -- I have a subscription, and although have received February, have not seen December/January yet. I spent extra to have my issues sent to Europe, but didn't receive 2 out of every 3 -- I have never had such a hassle with issues before (and I am a magazine-aholic). I finally had it sent to my North American address to make use of our mail-forwarding.

I'm very sad to see it go though...

It was a lovely magazine, much better than all the older child-parent glossies. (can Cookie be far behind?)

Oh, I for one am gutted - I love Wondertime and all their brilliant crafty ideas and there unbeatable printables.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so, so, so sad about this. Devastated over a magazine cancellation? Yep, that's me. This is just awful. I love Wondertime. I love the gorgeous photography, the thorough and thoughtful articles, the creative kid friendly crafts, and the access to Catherine Newman's brilliance and insight.

So now what? Does a subscriber have any recourse or compensation? I'm so bummed since I'm a new subscriber.

This is terrible. I don't even have kids - but I thought the magazine was a stunner. A nice parenting magazine that didn't talk down to adults - or lower the bar. You know, mags like McCalls and Women's Day (for example) feature some parenting articles that had the same old same old information.

Wondertime had innovative thought and incredibly well-written articles.

I can't take much more =(

Noooo! What is going on here? This is just too sad. Holly over on decor8 suggested (in reference to domino) that magazines simply start charging their customers more per issue and/or reducing the number of issues per year until the economy improves, and I wholeheartedly agree. Why do magazines feel they need to rely on advertisers for nearly all of their profits??? I know I am not the only one who would be willing to pay a few bucks more per issue!

I send out all of my warmest wishes and best hopes to the staff of all of the folding magazines out there.

Wondertime is the only magazine that came anywhere close to filling the hole left by MS Kids. How sad.

I LOVE this magazine! I am so sad. What a bad week for magazines I love. I wasn't finished wiping my tears for Domino and now this.

Nooo!!! I hadn't heard about Domino, either. I just renewed my subscription.
What a shame on both fronts. Wondertime was such a refreshing alternative to typical parent/child mags.

My husband was just reading the eczema article from this month's issue (very well done!) today. He never picks up parenting magazines.

Man, I subscribed to Blueprint and Home Companion and Domino and am sorry about all of them. But THIS one I really think sucks. Wondertime was very unusual. And I second the Catherine Newman comment. This is depressing, big time.
