In some cases I prefer the furniture to wearing a particular look (some trends seem to blend better in a large room than on my body), but given the striking similarities, it's worth investigating your wardrobe for style ideas for your room and vice versa.
Top Row:
1.Solestruck/DWR
2.Dooney and Burke/ DWR
3. Fashionologie /NJ Modern
4.Oliver Peoples via The Man Repeller /New York Times
5. Fashionologie /Wholesale Modern Design
Botton Row:
6.Solestruck/West Elm
7.Youngjun Koo forThe Cut/Hive Modern
8. Fashionologie /A+R
What do you think? Are you similar in the way you dress yourself and your room?

Nomade Express Slee...
Love this post!
Those shoes are hideous; the chair is cool..
Interesting & amusing post. I often note the relationship between fashion & home design. Trends are trends. Occasionally a [rare] few evolve into classics. A good thing. Now just gotta add...#3 cracks me up. And all that before dark-thirty.
Shouldn't it be "furniture translated into fall fashion trends?" since most of the furniture shown has been around for decades.
And those boots are ridiculous.
Some of the comparisons are a bit of a stretch. Slow news day?
Good post. Made me smile.
