Summer 2008 was the first time we attended Wright's Mass Modern auction and it was so much fun! Richard Wright runs the show with plenty of energy and wit and the bidding is fast and furious, both in the room and at the phone and computer banks. Plus, the prices are definitely much more affordable than at any of Wright's other auctions during the year and many items have no reserves.

We went through the catalog and found some favorites (shown above):

1. Chandelier, 1965, Estimate $1000 - 1500 (Yes, I guess I'm a little obsessed)
2. Dorothy Draper Cabinet by Henredon, circa 1958, Estimate $1000 -1500
3. Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe MR10 Chairs, 1970, Estimate $1000 - 1500
4. Olaf Von Bohr Bookshelf by Kartell, 1972, Estimate $500 - 700
5. Fritz Hansen Tray Table, circa 1960, Estimate $500 - 700
6. Walter Von Nessen Table Lamp by Nessen Lighting, 1940, Estimate $200 - 300

Check out all the lots right here and if you are in Chicago, the auction gets underway tomorrow at 10am at Wright, 1440 West Hubbard.
