We're not trying to claim an eco-friendly prize here, and our life is full of hypocritical idiosyncrasies, but we feel that we do our darndest....and isn't that the point? If we use our travel mug 29 days, can't we be forgiven for that one day in the month when we forgot it? We're part of the group that follows the tortoise, rather than the hare, when it comes to reaching a goal. All of this to explain why we think the new online store, Feel More Human, is a great step in the right direction.
Try as we might, we haven't relegated our (*occasional*) shopping sprees to solely eco-friendly products and we know that while it's a noble goal, we're human...we slip up.
Feel More Human takes a similar stance in their philosophy. While they offer a huge and well-curated selection of eco-concious and design savvy products, they sit side-by-side less earth-friendly items. Why? Because according to the website, " We know you can't live a 100% sustainable lifestyle, but you can make small changes that when echoed across a large group of people make a drastic difference. It's that blend of reality and responsibility. It's what makes us feel more human."
It's a forgiving attitude that hopefully, won't feel so elitist and uncompromising to us folks with less-than-perfect environmental records.
Dig a little bit deeper in to the website and you'll find a great "content" section offering green resources and an online fleamarket. It may be small, but it's a grounded step in the right direction.
