There's just something about a textured blue wall that makes us weak in the knees. The boldness that would be provided by a solid paint application is softened by the natural texture of grasscloth, further enriching the moody yet elegant statement that the tones can make.
Blue grasscloth wallpaper can become a neutral setting against which bolder choices will pop. It soothes the intensity of whatever else is happening in a design. For example, graphic black, white, and yellow accessories would have an ultra-modern feel against a plain white wall. The soft blue grasscloth in that room stands up to the power of the other selections and brings it all back down to earth. These qualities are especially noticeable between a contrasting trim and floor.
