Rachel's creative eye knows no bounds. You may remember the great room she pulled together for her son, Sebastian. Well, now Rachel shows us how to pull together a great little felt advent calendar.
Rachel tells us, "...[the calendar] involves special experiences we can have each day instead of sweets and trinkets. A quick afternoon whip up for those who are still wanting to make one this year!"

To make your calendar, you'll need:
• a piece of wool felt
• felt for the numbers
• an old ruler
• some pom-pom ribbon
• various pieces of scrapbook paper

Thanks for sharing, Rachel! To read more about the calendar, visit Rachel's Web site.

I love this idea and am super impressed by the cut out numbers. It is just beautiful!
I really like that it doesn't SCREAM Christmas. It lends itself to be used in a variety of ways: countdown to vacation, countdown to birthday, countdown to first day of school, countdown to field trip, etc. Just swap out the cards and you're good to go!
yay!!! rachel!!! she's one of my creative idols. :)
very nice--I was considering the hable construction one from garnet hill, but it is sold out. I might just try to make this one instead.
