Felt Board Fireplace Screen

We used to dream of having a fireplace, but now that we have a (clumsy) toddler we're thankful not to have to babyproof one. Christie of Childhood 101 devised a clever way of keeping her daughter out of the fireplace while also giving her something fun to do. And, did we mention it looks really nice?

Christie's fireplace isn't even a working one, but the chimney is still dirty and not a place she wants her daughter, Immy, to hang out. She made a felt board the size of the fireplace opening and in colors that would look nice in her living room. She cut out some felt figures and can add to them anytime. Clever!
