Like the beautiful patterns in old wood flooring? Prefer a soft floor covering or are you looking for a new idea for an area rug? Felt Floor by Charlotte Lancelot is a felt floor covering that comes in wood-floor-proportioned strips.
The strips can be laid out in herringbone, strip, and parquet patterns, mimicking traditional wood floor patterns but in a suprising material. We like that, when used as an area rug, the edges of the pattern would be irregular. And when you want to mix things up, it's easy to do with such mobile pieces, like Flor, but in a 1:3 proportion.

Love these, but how much, and where? Only through contacting the website?
I think the ragged edges would become frayed and floppy very quickly unless you use lots of double-stick tape, which could damage the floor underneath. Not a good idea...
I don't understand why this is considered novel. Anybody can take a FLOR tile, which comes in a gazillion colors, and cut them down into plank-like shapes or any other shape with a blade. And you can actually buy FLOR tiles at Target these days...
I like the "out of the box" style, but it seems that getting outside of that box warrants trouble in say, possible spills and stains. could you remove a tile, throw it in the washer and then reposition it once it's clean? Just seems like one more thing out there that appears fresh and cool, but doesn't follow through in practicality.
Anyone know where these can be purchased?
