UK based felt specialist Hive launched their self-adhesive tiles at 100% Design in London last month the colorful and modular tiles are ideal for adding a punch of color and texture to a room or wall and they'd likely double as excellent sound-dampening material.
The tiles come in a wide variety of colors from neutral to bright and colorful, with two designs to choose from — 'Wave' or 'Honeycomb'.
Available soon from Hive Shop. We can't wait!

I'm hoping these become really, really popular with "industrial chic" restaurants. I would love to be able to hear conversations in restaurants again.
tiamat, i was thinking the *exact* same thing. i hope restaurants start using these tiles! stylish, yet sound dampening. i am getting old and tired of having to shout/experience deafening sound in some restaurants these days...
Felt as a wallcovering is VERY unpractical, Impossible to keep clean and it also looks difficult to remove when they need replacing. I don't understand why it being marketed from everything to floor tiles to fabric for stuffed animals. I hope this trend dies soon.
I love felt, always have. Its a natural material - no harder to clean than drapes or carpeting. And if one decides to get rid of it, it is compostable.
This is so impractical and who's really going to be feeling your walls, so it's a waste of fabric.
As a single person with no children, I wouldn't hesitate to use this material in my own home.
I have always been a big fan of felt....it's very chic and cozy at the same time.
I'm hoping that this item is manufactured in diffferent shapes and that it's affordably priced and available widely in the United States.
can anyone ID the sofa? thanks!
I bet it's a fair bit cheaper to pick up sticky-back felt at the local craft store and cut it into identical shapes.
Reminds me of one of the price is right gameboards...
cuute !
Felt is fantastic for walls, adding warmth, depth and acoutsic properties. Sticky back craft felt would not compare in durability or acoustic quality.
Love this!
