While there's clearly no need for a holiday dinner to be as big of a to-do as a wedding reception, the latter can offer plenty in the way of inspiration for jazzing up your tabletop.

I'm about seven months away from my own wedding day, and, like any modern bride, I've been combing the internet for ideas. All I know for sure right now is that there are so many options.

You can dress up the table with a colorful runner (Image 9) or one that's more minimal (Image 5) or use a patterned tablecloth (Image 8) or napkins (Image 2). Don't be afraid to combine a soft pink with a graphic pattern or lime green with woody neutrals. And, given the time of year, know that flowers aren't your only option for centerpieces — try succulents, herbs, and fruit.
