In my own home office, my husband and I both have large cork boards above our desk. Although they're great at providing a great place to pin up notes and inspiration, they still feel a little institutional. Industrial is in, but feeling like your home office is a cubicle isn't. Try this simple tip to keep the paperwork clutter controlled and keep it classy at the same time.

Frames are a dime a dozen at the thrift store and the best part about frugal finds is that you can always pick them up in multiples. Shannon Staker over at the aptly named, Shannon Makes Stuff has been busy filling her stairway with these cork filled frames. We love the look and think they'd be perfect for a home office to help tame the paper clutter that we're so often left with.

Make your frames all one color or even paint or stain your cork for different modern looks, or paint them assorted colors as Shannon has done in the photos above. No matter how you slice it, it's a great way to sort out what can so often be considered irritating to the eye and give you a place to rotate artwork, keep receipts or even notes on making steam powered skateboards — that's what you think about right?

Check out the blog Shannon Makes Stuff for more details on making this project for your home.
