One of the loveliest animations ever. so simple and easy to connect with. genius! Bravissimi! It will become a classic, I am sure...
The soundtrack you hear is an excellent homage to early stop-motion films. The cute sounds added personality to the "still-lifes" as they popped around the screen. The more fluid stop-motion films used evocative music in addition to the staccato sounds. Stop-motion is inspired story-telling.
It is also reminiscent of the clicking on the audio tape that accompanied the slide-show filmstrips shown to schoolkids in the 50s and 60s. The click (and later, the tone) told you to advance to the next slide.
Don't forget the early TV clickers that gave you a new image each time you clicked it.
This is an amazing piece of work.
