We hope someone over at any of the major smart phone manufacturers takes note of designer Alan Gerardo Farías' Glance concept. The concept's slim form factor is designed to slip into tight jean pockets while a secondary bottom display alerts you to the time, tweets or email updates with a quick glance. Brilliant!

brilliant idea! i guess the problem is getting a small enough battery.
I really love this, it has me all inspired and junk. From a visual standpoint, the phone as a whole is stunning, but from a usability standpoint, I have to question the dramatically curved screen. However, the main feature is the display on the bottom of the phone and I can't get over how amazing that is. Perhaps, for those of us who like their Apple products, someone could put out an adapter or high tech case with a similar display that could plug into the bottom of an iPhone and sync directly with the device or a dedicated app.
A better alternative to secondary display is the MetaWatch.http://metawatch.org/index.html
Ooh. Kinda love this.
Ok this is cool but........ How many people have broken their cell phone while in their pocket. The glass needs to be the flat side and the curved side needs to be the battery. Then this will work. But a curved glass screen, glass side out. Just asking to bump something and break your cell phone.

While I like the meta watch, there is way to many short comings with it, your talking about 4 or 5 days battary life, for a watch, which it way too short.
Re the deign of the bottom screen of this phone, I think it is a brilliant idea. The top part of the phone doesnt have to be as thin but manufacturers should look into placing a display at either the top or bottom of the phone, where earphones go in. They could make the buttons configurable, say for example if you have your music app open, make the display usable play, pause, forward and back buttons etc.
