"Tray [by Robert and Matthew Swinton] is a simple personal computer that contains a wireless keyboard and flash memory, along with a touchpad. A slot in the base allows for multiple screens and devices to be used and synced together in an understandable way. The base is embedded with magnets that hold the wireless screen in place during transport and aligns the other devices for a user’s optimum ergonomic configuration. Using wood is a means of recognizing our society’s preference to use naturally renewable resources when possible."

Pretty but I don't know if I'd buy it.
If the screen was a full-featured tablet, and could be removed for use on its own, then this would be something I might consider. As it is, though, it's just a really cool-looking concept render.
Stupid design.
The screen can't tilt or fold down, and I wouldn't trust magnets strong enough to hold the screen on around the rest of the components.
A pencil-holding groove? WTF for? Gonna write on the screen when you're bored?
And the placement of the keyboard and touchpad is just as stupid. The reason keyboards are centered in laptops is because it is bad for your posture/wrists/arms for it to be off-center.
And don't mind the enviro-crap at the end. The wood would probably be only a thin veneer, with meal underneath, just for aesthetics and bragging rights. No real environmental effect.
Take a look, its meant to be an iPad, Apple Wireless Keyboard and Wireless trackpad. Not a whole new computer, its a nice holder and a good idea. One problem, aluminum isn't magnetic so the magnets in the design wouldn't do anything to keep the keyboard/trackpad in place.
