Here comes Shauna for a second time! Out in LA, DSL connections have been spotty because of the rain and she was unable to get these in until a few days ago. Check these digs out!

MY FAVORITE ENTRY & WHY:
I dug the flashy showpieces, but swooned the most the over apartments with a more human thumbprint - those soulful little abodes that had that magic combo of being creative without being too caluclated. For me, it was a tie:
GRANT'S WEHO CHARMER for all the books, the beautiful striped bedroom lamp and a feeling of things collected over time. I'd could spend hours there exploring.
And THOM'S SAN FRAN DELIGHT - Not to get all Oprah on you, but his story of how and why he found his way to post-minimalism color, frankly, moved me. It was striking how coming out of such tragedy his place is clearly bursting with life (& personal style). Plus, he's down for thrifting, scavenging and a lot of DIY (seriously - the man's place is a buffet of nifty ideas anyone could adapt for themselves).
WHY I SHOULD BE THE CHAMP:
Ugh! Questions like this are the reason I never ran for class president.
But if put in a WWF-style sleeper hold, I'd have to say I think the best 'home design' tells a story about the person who lives there & my place definitely does that. I'm not a pro - I'm just a renter on a budget with some paint and a dream.
And if that's not enough, I challenge all my opponants to a no-holds-bard cage match wherein our only weapon is an Eames chair. Thirteen enter, one leaves. Who's with me?!
