Sprout Side Table
I have two desks in my office, one that is a lot like #6, and one that is a non-corner version of #9. They make two workstations in our tiny office, and in the corner I have a matching bookshelf.
They're great for their utility and they each serve different functions, so it works out pretty perfectly.
I'm partial to a smaller desk like this one:

Less space is less mess and it's so cute!
I have a simple wooden desk that belonged to my father as a boy. I'm short and many, many desks are just too tall or otherwise oversized for me.
My desk is actually an Ikea dining room table. Deep enough for the printer, files and reference books to hang out with me and still allow a generous amount of actual working space for me and the computer. I think it's the "Bjursta" - the large one. There aren't any drawers - but it's tall, so a file cabinet fits underneath, as well as a host of other things I can't find space for. I've had several in my life- this is by far the most generous space I've ever had!
Gosh what a great post. I love the 50s picture, moving to my home office, got a bureau for my office/accounts stuff when I put my accountant hat on, got my ikea dinning table for my main desk. For my design work.

This girl needs a big desk and lots of room to store an excess of stationery and craft supplies...here's the solution I came up with:
