We just received the August Food & Wine magazine and the entire issue is devoted to organic foods and green living and discusses everything from eco lodges to organic wines. In their "News and Notes" section, we spied a couple items that children would certainly enjoy and we would feel good about buying.
Food and Wine points us to R. Nichols Eggplant Tote -- a nice tote bag not just for groceries but for any 'tween or teen to carry around in lieu of a purse of backpack. We love the simple yet colorful design of the lone eggplant.
We also found Shinzi Katoh's adorable aluminum trekking bottles are a great replacement for plastic water bottles. Katoh, an award-winning children's book author, designed a line of trekking bottles which include a lion, cat, gibbon and more. The bottles start at $15.
We love finding great items in inexpected places!
