Every time we show a flatscreen mounted above a fireplace we hear groans from the crowd about height. In most cases, those groans are warranted as most TVs placed directly above a mantle end up much too high for comfortable viewing. So what's a temperature sensitive movie watcher to do?
MCZ designed a fireplace that takes care of said conundrum by installing the TV next to the fireplace. There isn't much info on the Scenario other than what's found via Trendir though. We couldn't even find it on MCZ's site. Does anyone have the scoop on this?
Would love to know if the flat screen comes with the built-in fireplace or if that's something you buy aftermarket. How are they insuring that your TV doesn't melt next to the flames? Does the heat that's pumped out affect the screen next to it? Mama mia! So many questions, so little italian!

It looks more like the fireplace that NBC used on their Olympics set. You know, the one that Steven Colbert climbed inside of?
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a video fireplace--meaning two TV's mounted side by side.
I like the idea but the proportions just don't do it for me.
PS: Colbert in Olympic fireplace... hilarious.
