We've been excited for Target's partnerships with Patch NYC and The Curiosity Shoppe ever since they were announced back in May. Now, we've got a sneak peek at some of the goods! Click through for a preview of these creatively curated collections, hitting Target shelves on September 9th.
Patch NYC
New Yorkers turned Bostonians Don Carney + John Ross of Patch NYC will debut over 50 new pieces at Target, ranging in price from $4.99-$119.99. Going from quirky (think: owl bookends and woodpecker lamps) to downright elegant (shimmering wood grain pillows and multi-tiered candelabras) the nature-inspired pieces feature unique colors and a vintage feel that looks great mixed in with modern decor.
The Curiosity Shoppe
Already well known on Apartment Therapy for their whimsical offerings, Lauren Smith + Derek Fagerstrom of The Curiosity Shoppe bring their cheerful style from San Francisco's Mission District to Target with nearly 60 home accessories, crafts, and games.

That gift box set is way cool.
I aaaaalmost like this stuff. I want to like it, since I think Target collaborating with smaller brands is a great idea. I just see most of these things as cool looking stuff I don't need.
I want everything. Those owl bookends, especially, because their eyes make them look really surprised, and potentially embarassed to be placed next to Twilight.
Also, the price of the woodpecker lamp gives you a good idea of how much the fox (or direwolf, if you prefer) lamp might cost. I really want one.
oh man.. this is dangerous. the adorable salad tongs hold my heart and those pillows.. oh, those pillows.
@studiostarter, I'm pretty sure most of the stuff at Target is cool looking stuff you don't need, but still we love it.
Those are the scariest looking owls I've ever seen.
I like that USA-shaped cutting board. Then again, I'm a map freak. I'm not one for buying too many objets, but I'll make an exception for this since it's utilitarian.
I have actually wanted owl bookends forever...of course I'd have to toss quite a few books for them to fit...
Saraphim, if you are looking for smaller owl bookends, I got these at Barnes and Noble (with a half off coupon!) and they are a super adorable alternative-

You know those AT stories about clearing out clutter? Yeah, this stuff.
I totally want the Patch NYC coaster set. I've been using Christmas coasters all year, so...
Target might sell, cute affordable things, but they have a dark side. Since taking over Zellers in Canada they are scrapping the fair wages and benefits and making workers who have worked for Zellers for 30 years reapply for their jobs...at lower wages of course.
A beautiful world includes more than just stuff. Consider the environmental and social ethics of a company before you buy.
@HATERS: When did bowls, measuring cups, lamps & rugs become clutter?
@HeyNowTex I guess you have a point! To clarify- for me these items in particular are things I wouldn't buy because I already have measuring cups, book ends, etc. I don't need more than one of those things. Whereas Target's other impulse buys like sunglasses, purses, and DVDs are things I like to have multiples of.
Can we be done with the birds? Please?
I dunno... I really get the sense that this collection is trying WAAAAYYY to hard to be trendy and cool.
Just went to Target yesterday to check out the Patch NYC stuff. Just moved into a new apartment and needed some decorative items anyway (amazing how much less stuff you have when you go from three room-mates to one!)
I only got a few things, the coasters, the fox bowl, and the owl and fox candle pedestals. The other stuff was fun, but there are only so many woodland animals I can have in my house.
I have to say I was really disappointed with the pillows, cute design, but such poor quality, even compared the normal target ones that were the same price!!
Ok so ever since I saw it in the September issue of Vogue, I've been OBSESSED with that turned wooden bowl and arrow salad tongs. I swiped up the tongs immediately, but from the moment I logged onto Target.com, though, the turned wooden bowl has mysteriously disappeared. Did it sell out that fast?? Did anyone manage to get one? Is it really that special? Answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated!
