Not long ago Great Green Goods featured these amazing journals by five and a half.

Handmade, the journals include 100 pages of recollected papers like vellum, archival drawing paper, Chinese rice paper, and newsprint. There's also a back pocket for looseleaf notes and receipts. We love that they're green -- all those pieces of paper that would have gotten thrown away are made instead into little useful works of art.

Although we gave up on keeping a journal long ago, we can see using the pocket size for our many lists and notes (stores to check out, measurements for furniture, etc.). They're also available in a larger size, and the covers come in a variety of color combinations.
