I'm always on the lookout for kids' bedding that feels whimsical enough for a child but still sophisticated enough for the grown ups to enjoy too. And since style isn't the only factor in choosing products for your child's bed, I've included a couple of choices that boast beautiful decorative crib sheets and skirts as an alternative to the traditional bumper. Here are my favorite five products - all with eye-catching designs and spot-on colors, perfectly suited for adults and children alike.
1. Sailor + Regatta Yellow Crib Sets: This crib set from Unison Home would look equally at home in a modern or traditional nursery. Its classic stripes and bright contrasting colors make it the perfect choice for both parents and baby to enjoy.
2. Little Augie Baby Collection: The combination of patterns and textures in Little Auggie's line of crib bedding keep it fun and interesting, but everything is unified by the color scheme. And the best part is the florals, cross-stitch, and striped patterns are neutral enough to fit right in with any nursery decor.
3. Organic bedding by Collete Bream: Last, but certainly not least is the gorgeous toddler bedding of Colette Bream. The neutral colors and luxe fabrics are a breath of fresh air. I love the little details like the ribbons on this set, and don't forget to check out her amazing pillows as well!
4. Olli & Lime: Although their collection is small, Olli & Lime's designs are all decidedly modern and graphic. In addition to crib and toddler bedding, they're also beginning to offer twin bedding.
5. Woodland Tumble by DwellStudio: I love DwellStudio's new line of decorative crib skirts. They allow parents to forego the bumper but still have a stylish crib. This one happens to be a particular favorite of mine with the neutral colors and graphic woodland print.

There are six photos, but only five sources. I'm wondering about the source for the bedding in the fourth photo from the left (none is listed under the photo). I didn't see it on the Olli & Lime or on Collette Bream's website. Thanks!
Also, what about a good source for mini crib bedding? I've really only found one source for that. Would love to see more options!!
I had some Little Augie items brought in by my sister living in Britain. Just loved them for my tykes. pretty soon, they will be in someone else's cribs as my little boy will surely outgrow them. Thanks for sharing!

Don't forget friends who can sew! @House, I have a mini-crib too. My mom made my crib bedding. I used the Backyard Baby collection from Michael Miller. Babybedding.com has a lot of options but we saved about $150 going DIY.
JYA: the source for that crib bedding is Virginia Johnson:

She is an amazing Canadian textile designer, but sadly I don't think she's doing crib bedding anymore. It's been off her website for ages, though she may have some left in her store in Toronto. Virginia - if you're reading this, please make your awesome crib bedding available online again!!
Plover Organic has some beautiful and modern crib bedding too:

I have the Blue Pinwheels for my daughter and it's held up quite well (though I wish the pillow was a removable cover) and looks really sweet.
We're switching to Toddler bed soon (our crib converts to one). I'm trying to make sure I understand the bedding options here - you use crib sheets still, correct? But what about the flat sheet on top? Who sells that sized sheet?
there are some lovely stuff out there but the prices, oh my!
i'm glad i went the diy route for both my babies
