5 Helpful Desktop Wallpapers: Shortcuts

Have you ever found yourself editing a series of photos in Photoshop, tweaking your Wordpress site, or getting acquainted with Windows 8 and thought to yourself: this would be 100 times easier if I could just remember the shortcuts? Well, here are five desktop wallpapers to help keep shortcuts for common programs close at hand.

Adobe Creative Suite Toolbar Shortcuts:

This helpful set of wallpapers from Hongkiat includes desktops for graphic design apps: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Flash. There are also iPad and iPhone versions - although, good luck to you if you're trying to edit InDesign docs on your phone.

Windows 8 Keyboard Cheat Sheet:

As a long-time Mac user, I had a really hard time making the transition to a Windows 8 tablet. The biggest problem? Remembering where all the swipes took me. This desktop design from MotorMouth solves that problem.

Cheat Sheet App:

Cheat Sheet isn't a static wallpaper - instead I like to think of it as an evolving one (and one of our past Daily Tech Finds). The small OS X add-on is a helpful, full screen reminder that shows users any available shortcuts for any open application by simply holding down the Command key for two seconds.

Web Accessibility Checklist:

Technically, there are no hot keys here, but this helpful set of reminders from QuicklyCode is a great resource for people who create online content: accessibility doesn't have to be a challenge and should be a priority.

Wordpress Help Sheet:

Learning Wordpress is a little like learning a second language. The process is cumbersome, challenging, and rife with errors at first. But once you've got it down - you're golden. This wallpaper from QuicklyCode should help simplify that learning curve.
