OK, we admit it- we love getting to peek into the homes of our readers. We love being inspired by your spaces, wowed by your design sense, and humbled by your creativity. Bathrooms especially often reveal the wilder side of your personalities- it seems many of you are more willing to take a chance on brighter colors and quirkier accents than in the main living areas of your homes. Amanda and Josh's bright and fun powder room is a perfect example of why we love funky private spaces.
We love the the color combination of the bright yellow and the soothing grey, but it is the one of a kind decor that made us stop in our tracks. The license plates are mostly from a collection started by Josh's Amanda's grandfather, but some came from friends of Josh and Amanda, making it more personal to them and to their space. We think this is an inspired use of an inherited collection in an unexpected place; a license plate display in a garage doesn't have the same wow factor as it does in this small powder room.
Of course, if you view the pictures of the rest of their home, you'll find that Amanda and Josh have no fear of color or quirk. We love their fun and funky home, and hope you find some inspiration here as you head into the weekend. You can see more pictures of Amanda Josh's cozy colorful home on their Flickr page.
Thanks again to everyone who shares pictures with the DC Flickr group. We love getting a peek inside your homes, and sharing your inspirational spaces with the community.

Nomade Express Slee...
there was a time I loved yellow and other bright colors in my house, for now I just lke the light and greyish palet.
I love this bathroom. And I looked at Amanda and Josh's Flickr--and they have such a fun kitschy house--I especially love the bowling pin lamp and the spaced invaders!
Totally fun!
Very nice. Lots of fun.
love it.
Maybe not for my home, but so cute and fun to look at!! Love it!
now that's COOL. it'd be a good kids' bath too (if you have enough extra baths for kids that is.)
