We've featured Josh and Amanda's home before, but couldn't resist the urge to share this fabulous patterned wall from their Vegas-themed bedroom. We love the bright and bold design of this wall, especially when coupled with the quirky bowling pin lamp and colorful jewelry display. We are most impressed by this couple's willingness to use such a bold pattern in such a small room.

The key to success here is obviously balance. Josh and Amanda used the pattern as an accent wall behind the head of the bed; the other walls are a solid bright color that helps to ground the space. The simple headboard and solid pillows and sheets give the eye a quiet place to rest while the muted pattern of the duvet helps to up the drama of the bed without competing with the dominant wall design. What a great use of pattern in a small space!
You can see more pictures of Amanda and Josh's cozy colorful home on their Flickr page.
Thanks again to everyone who shares pictures with the DC Flickr group. We love getting a peek inside your homes, and sharing your inspirational spaces with the community.

Nomade Express Slee...
fun and funky- I like it!
I love the blanket! Could you tell me where it's from? :)
perfect wall paper for an accent wall! love how bold it is
Is it a stencil? My OCD isn't happy with the "cleanness" of the application, BUT I like the boldness.
This is inspiring because I want to stencil-paint some ugly built-in wood valences and I know my stenciling would not be perfect. This looks great despite being imperfect.
I love it! How did they come up with the wall design?
Hey all, thanks for featuring us again, AT, nice surprise!
Thanks for the compliments too. @sturgeongeneral - the comforter is from Crate and Barrel circa 2002, I think. It's Marimekko.
@craftscafeonetsy & Tiainspace - it's not wallpaper, but a stencil, yes. I bought some mylar and cut it out myself, no it's not perfect, but I the print I was trying to replicate was kind of fuzzy around the edges too.
@FrauKeiser - the wall design stencil was inspired from an Motel 6 ad I found in an old National Geographic. It was a 60's/70's wallpaper and I just loved it's crazy geometrics. I put it on two walls and it took me like 10 hours total - not sure if I'd do it again!
