Notice anything unusual about this lamp, or more specifically its shade? We happen to have the same lamp, but this one uploaded by flickr user hnxing contains a sweet little surprise. Jump below to see what it is and how they did it:
When the light gets turned on it reveals a pretty scene of flying birds. Want to make one of your own? Try this lampshade with a secret post for how to do it (hint, you'll need some rice paper, spray mount adhesive and an idea for what you want to do!).
Have a project or a room you'd like to share with us? Don't be shy, upload it to the LA Flickr Pool. We check it every day and love seeing what you're up to!

oh that is very cute! i like that you don't see the bird outlines at all when the light is off.
hmm.. maybe i'll give somthing like this a try. i have some acrylic ball lamps with plain cream shades that could use a little extra something.
Where can you buy this lamp? I never have any idea what to get my mother-in-law, but I know she wants one of these.
I believe you can get that lamp at Target!
Don't you mean "Surprises"?
That you can, I have the very same one!
Target's where I got mine!
Seriously AT - an editor would be helpful. or even a more liberal use of spell-check before hitting the post button.
How much was this lamp from target? I am looking to get one similar. Or does anyone know where else I can buy it for a reasonable price?
Who cares about spelling? Wheee! More time for mojitos!
