We thought we had seen it all earlier today with this striped and labeled house in Omaha, but we do believe that this Chariot of Polar Bears takes the proverbial cake. Why keep such fabulous designs on black 80's panel vans, when you could have it on the side of your house instead?
You can find this fabulous house and work of art in Mutters, Austria. It's located near a train station and on display for all to see! Although we had been planning a getaway to other destinations lately, our travel plans might have to change as this visual display just shot to the top of our must see list.

Wow...
Frank Frazetta > you.
I feel sorry for the neighbors.
I love how it doesn't match anything else on the building...
And how his hair is held up by the sword, is it glued to the blade?
And the bears aren't attached to the ... uh ... "sleigh" or "motorless Art Nouveau Ski-Doo" ... It actually looks like he's going to run over them, this is cruel!!
where's the valkyrie in a metal bikini?
Simply amazing.
This reminds me of the painted houses in southern Germany, along the romantic road. Pretty cool.
I would black light it at night and rev the 82 firebird out front while blasting Journey on the 8-Track with a Miller Lite in one hand and my crotch in the other all the while kissing my feather-haired self in the mirror.
thumbs up to swagdujour...
that's really almost as cool as my wolf shirt:

There's a reason why the phrase, "I need some good decorating advice - find me an Austrian!" has never been uttered before.
While these murals are obviously nothing new in major cities, the murals on many Paris buildings are particularly amazing.
oops...using the trompe l'oeil technique.
Freakin' epic!
OMGWTFPOLARBEAR.
Is it out of one of the Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials" books?
I'm surprised that there isn't a bylaw against this in Austria -- there are usually regulations against just about everything that steps outside of their very strict norms...
*bowing to the east* swagdujour, you rock the free world! I may just try that tomorrow myself. But in my 2003 Civic and listening to U2's Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses.
Not the same :-/
Maybe there's no bylaw because this is the manliest of all manly murals, and to outlaw this kind of art would be stripping the Y from Austria's male population. How dare you.
Nope, it's not from his dark materials. it is fking awesome though.
Awesome
if i could replicate a frazetta on the outside of my house, i would!
i didn't know much about him at all, but my bf put the frazetta movie on the netflix and whoa. not really the type of art i go for but the man himself is an inspiration. after a stroke hampered his ability to paint and draw he relearned with this left hand in order to keep going. highly recommended viewing!

Well, whatever this is supposed to be, it merely reinforces my impression that Austrians are rather... "odd"...
Frazetta is better than an advertisement! I love it.
I would not like it on a wall.
I would not like it in a hall.
I would not like it on a van.
I do not like it, Sam-I-Am.
Many houses would be improved with murals of things that are awesome such as:
Vikings
People with swords
Dragons
Rocketships
Lasers
Or perhaps the most awesome thing: Space vikings riding dragon shaped rocketships with laser swords.
they should have sent a poet
