We found this absolutely beautiful refinished bookshelf on Flickr and just fell in love. The lovely shade of green, along with the decorative elements, just make a bold and sweet statement that any child would enjoy having in their room.

Flickr user Curds n Whey, who runs the lovely blog Rummage, found this bookshelf in a second hand shop, took the doors off and painted it, creating a beautiful place for her daughter to keep all of her books. Nothing is cooler than a good thrift store find and a little DIY elbow grease.
