AT reader Shazzbazz draws the Line! posted this eye-catching collage of images of her eye-catching DIY transformation of a dresser drawer she's had since first purchasing it back in 1991 on our ATLA Flickr Pool, and we thought it's a perfect example of how the "old" can be refreshed into something that matches the "you" of "now" with something as simple as dash of colour...
And check out the various pieces that compliment the dresser: Hong Kong figures, lantern, dragonfly art, lacquered vases from Vietnam, and paper artwork from Korea. Nice work, shazzbazz Draws The Line! Be sure to share your own DIY and decoration ideas on our Flickr pool and you might find yourself highlighted on AT soon too!

That looks gorgeous! Good job on the DIY. Is the dresser real wood or laminate, and if it's the latter, what did you use to paint it? I have some furniture that I'd love to paint but don't know what to use.
Nice way to take a design nothing and turn it into a design something.
awesome!
Thanks guys, I just found this posting; a bit late ;P
This dresser wasn't real wood, it was laminate. I sanded the pieces until I had some good tooth for the paint to adhere to. I used latex paint and varnished with polyurethane (several coats).
Hope that helps :)
