This quaint DIY project 36 metres-carres created turned out remarkably well. She found inspiration for the project inside the May 2007 issue of Martha Stewart Living.
The project mounts vintage cutlery in shadow boxes on a decorative backing. These particular boxes used old childhood silverware on a ground of gift-wrapping paper. We love the color with the walls and the artwork in the foreground. More views are in the Flickr slideshow, Corners of My Home...

Cuter still if they were hung about 10" lower.
I like this idea, especially if you have some heirloom silverware from, say, your grandma, that you don't necessarily use, but it is still special to you.
Yeah, it's up there too high. I became a dedicated AT reader after the post about how to properly hang artwork. Afterwards, I re-hung everything in my apartment and the improvement was quite dramatic.
