Sure, it's got a typewriter front-and-center instead of an iMac, but this cold-war-era submarine storage and writing desk is still a sight to behold. Apparently the 'industrial' look has been en vogue for longer than we thought!
These pictures were shot by Flickr user ellenm1 from inside the USS Requin Submarine (SS-481), a decommissioned Navy submarine that was dedicated as a memorial and museum exhibit near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
And it's home to cool vintage stuff, including a vertically-oriented personal storage and writing desk with room for books, letters and a mid-century typewriter:
Filled to the brim with all the original gear, you'll feel like a cold-war spy, looking at all the cool stuff. A must-see.
If you can't get small-space storage inspiration from a submarine, where can you get it from?
