I have one of those wavy white platters, as in the first pic! I love it - I'm currently using it as a candle holder.
What a shock to see another posting of my flickr stuff. Thanks AT!
Pixie, my mom just gave me those wavy platters for a housewarming gift...using them as candleholders was my first thought too!
(and this should be posted as kimhas4cats :( )
I'm sorry about your kitty, Kim :[
Thanks Erin. He was only 6 months old, so it was a big shock when we found out we had to put him down (on Dec 4th).
So sorry to hear about your kitty, Kim. :(
Your apartment is great--I especially love your bold paint colors. It's very inspirational to see you trying different things.
Great place Kim.
What do you have for kitty entertainment? I am in the process of adopting one and maybe two young teenage cats. I haven't had young cats in a while--older cats for years. I like the wall shelves that I've seen on AT for kitty lounging and jumping around. I've also been thinking about a kitty condo. But, they're kind of ugly.
Pixie, see if there's a locally owned pet store in your area that does custom kitty condos. You may be able to get something non-ugly by working with the maker to finalize a design. This is a case where custom is not necessarily more expensive than mass-produced.
thanks wende--good idea!
I have kitty condos my bf and I built that drive me nuts because they are an eye-sore and are too obviously kitty furniture. So we bought round wicker baskets at Ikea that we're going to "strap" to a wall (I saw this online somewhere - can't remember what site) and line with fur so the cats can scratch them and sleep in them as well. I'll post pics on FLickr once we do this (over the holidays hopefully!).
