Chella tagged a set of photos
of a phone nook redo. It is so nice to see space freed up by new technology being used to bring beauty to a home. Goodbye wires, hello mini-tokonoma
Chella writes,"Last year I cancelled my home phone service and I was finally able to eliminate the unsightly phone cord sprouting from an outlet in the middle of this nook.
I tied a mirror to the outlet box so it appears to be floating and kind of dressed it up to have something nice to look at on my way out of the bathroom." The space showcases candles,"smooth stones from lake Michigan and a sushi tray".

Above the nook, Chella hung a "papercut image, thrift store house warming present from a friend".
Over at AT:SF, there have been a few posts on what to do with these niches found in vintage apartments. A thread on it is here and photos of a nifty storage idea are here.
