When it comes to choosing color schemes or cats, you can't go wrong with black and white! We know AT Reader Degerkas didn't pick her cats, Trip and Kaylee, based on whether or not they matched the furniture, but they do go well with that Eames Lounge Chair...

high contrast

Trip looks great against the white rug and orange Malm fireplace.

the perfect spot for bird watching

Kaylee has staked out the seat, while it looks like Trip prefers the ottoman.

They know they look good together.

Awwwww this is absolutely amazing! Very very cute babies!
This made my afternoon. For reals.
But how do you stop them from shredding the leather upholstery?
Thanks for making me smile. Kaylee and Trip make a lovely pair. And jrochest, in my experience, leather is one of the few upholstery fabrics that cats are not interested in clawing. Their claws, unable to grab onto any threads because of the smooth surface, slide right off!
OMG.
SO CUTE!
I usually don't go for all caps but here they are warranted. LOVE THE KITTIES! :)
I had no idea about mid century cats! I bet they become all the rage now. So cute.
I didn't know I had "mid century cats." Orfeyo is all black and Lord Ik Ik is all white. And, like Trip and Kaylee, you will find Orfeyo on the white comforter or white cushion on the cat bench or the off white shag rug in the living room. Ik Ik on the other hand will be on the black chair in the bedroom, the black leather furniture in the living and TV rooms or the navy blue cushion on the cat bench. What you WON'T find is Ik Ik and Feyo curled up together. She hates him!
I saved that last one as my desktop background.
They look just like ours!
we have one black (Miss Lucy) and one white (Lilly). you'll never catch them sleeping together though.... Lucy is very much the alpha cat...
They're beautiful together and as individuals!
I disagree with the one poster that said cats can't/don't scratch leather. One of my cats scratched my leather sofa. It left some marks, but not terrible looking. But some stern words and tape over the area solved that problem in about a week.
That was so cute! I especially love that last picture.
oh my, the last picture! thank you!
It kills me when they try to sit like humans. =)
These lads are adorable and photogenic. BTW Our cat wrecked a leather sofa.
really cute cats, but I've always thought when I got an animal I would just sumbit myself to limiting the clothes I wore that would show their hair. with a black AND a white cat, you just can't win!
Yin Yang cats! Love it!
ZuzuinOaktown, you are absolutely wrong about cats and leather. Mine have destroyed my leather chair. :(
Thanks everyone for the positive comments. We are really lucky to have such great cats. Trip and Kaylee so far have not scratched intentionally at the lounge chair, but our fingers are crossed.
