Of all the neighborhoods in the DC Metro Area, Old Town is my favorite - like it waaay more than Georgetown. Capitol Hill is a close second.
Wish I could afford it - instead, I live in the Del Ray neighborhood, adjacent (north) to Old Town. I suppose I could use the old real estate agent's trick of referring to my neighborhood as "North Old Town, Alexandria" or "Old Town North, Alexandria."
if anyone drops by and hasn't tried it yet, I highly recommend Asian Bistro for a lovely lunch. They have a nice sushi bar too.
