Five Ten tagged some fantastic inspiration photos with apartmenttherapychicago. They show off her back porch garden in its full grown glory from August of last summer. The porch set up is typical of Chicago: a wooden deck off the back of a brick building overlooking the alley. But the glorious greenery makes the outdoor space out of the ordinary and must have made last summer's dinners quite tasty...

Lush, bountiful and all in containers...Five Ten seems to have one of the greeener thumbs in Chicago. Thanks for tagging the photos in Flickr, Five Ten...it is an inspiration to all of us city dwelling "thinking about it" gardeners.

This looks great! Do you know if Five Ten has a blog?
Nice work! Those tomato plants are getting pretty big!
Curious, if they bring all the herbs indoors when winter comes?
Wow... Thanks for featuring my garden. Last year was the first time I attempted a container garden, so there was alot of trial and error. For example while my tomatoe plants grew to be over 5 ft. tall, I never got actual tomatoes to grow. I also attempted to bring the herbs indoors last fall, but my apartment didn't get enough light indoors to keep them alive.
This year I did more research (old Martha Stewart Livings and various container gardening books) and attempted some different plants (I haven't uploaded photos of this year's garden yet). While it can be a pain watering so many plants everyday (it takes about 3/4 trips), it is totally worth it.
