It's no secret that we're big fans of using clipboards to organize and display filing, artwork and scrap paper. But why be satisfied the standard brownish particle board? Here's one reader's take on giving her grocery list a bit more oomph.

Inger used a mini clipboard, Mod Podge, scissors and a small flat paintbrush to evenly apply the glue. She eyeballed the pattern for the paper and refined it through trial and error. All and all, a quick project for instant punch to the everyday grocery list!

For those wondering, the paper she used is from Paper Source, http://paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/item/Flora-Fauna-Papaya-Flower-Circles/3106.001/44354250.html
And that other scrap paper, to the left of the clipboard, looks like Snow & Graham's cherry blossom print. I may not know much about modern furniture, but I know decorative paper!
I bought that same paper to make some pretty chinese lanterns with my daughter.
love this idea! i am going to get busy......
I saw this in Blueprint a few months back and I love the idea!
does anyone have a mini-clipboard source? i found some at staples, but of course they had the word staples imprinted on the metal clasp and it bugs me.
I got those little ones at Office Max. No nasty logos :)
What a cute idea! I have a question, though...did you remove the clip when you applied the paper and Mod Podge? Otherwise, is the clip resting on the paper while it's drying? Thanks!
I used hot glue to attach a small coordinating grosgrain bow over the STAPLES logo. Also, I used a twist tie to hold the clip open to cut and glue. I saw this solution in Martha Stewart Living magazine.
