You can check out Matt's full Flickr set (including a great picture of his feline photo helper Josephine), and get the low down on the individual items in his room. For instance, would you believe that his Wishbone chair was a killer Craigslist find? Or that there is a framed leaf from his wife's old New York Apartment? He's beautifully cataloged all the details here.
Thanks Matt!

I really enjoy those warm wood floors and the light brown doors & mouldings against the white walls.
nice and calm
the blue nightstand is genius
i'd lower the print above the headboard a bit... it's way up there
Like the rug and chair in the first picture. Overall very nice and relaxing. Refreshing after the clutter magnet space we saw yesterday.
Hi Sydney,
I like the rug too! I couldn't find any great links to demonstrate quickly, but the colors and design remind me a lot of "stone washed dhurries". Given it has heavier fringe, it could also be an herbal washed Soumac (Sumak, Soumak)... Anyway probably a newer rug, looks great in the space. If you're looking, those are some of the suggestions. :)

Hi everyone, thanks for your kind words. My mom bought the kilim rug new at Pottery Barn, maybe 3 years ago. It's wool and very, very scratchy on bare feet - perhaps why she gave it to us.
I'm so glad to see shorter curtains can look good. I have a room where I want to hang some, but there is a furnace intake on the baseboard below the windows, so I can't do floor-length. These window-length curtains look *so* great though!
Such a light and pretty space -
I love the color combination -- so soothing.
I love everything about the room. Don't change a thing. I *heart* the color of the blue nightstand.
