Talk about bold! We're applauding JGIBSMITH13's confident use of orange in the family room..but what we really want to know is where can we get those vintage art nouveau tarot cards?! Orange can be overpowering (especially with a whole wall dedicated to it!), but we think the art and its placement makes the space not just livable, but vibrant and inviting.

Orange is one of those colors that's flippin' brilliant in detail-less modern boxes. It's instant character, especially the way it's used here to provide a setting for neutral furniture and retro art. A gentler color scheme would just look wimpy.
The beige sofa looks dead against the orange, unfortunately. Would be much better tightly upholstered in white or maybe a nubby fabric with some orange as part of the weave.
My nephew did this in his teen-dream-bedroom. Bright orange walls, bright yellow ceiling...royal blue ceiling fan.
Bravo!
Please share what paint color that is so that I can use it too!
Love it! What color is the accent wall in the bedroom? I'm intrigued.....
Wow, what a great use of orange. It looks great! Very smart that it was used as an accent wall, rather than overpower the entire room with orange. I can see how an orange (and only orange walls) would be an eyesore after a while.
I remember this entry from the last smallest, coolest...
Paint color and brand please....this orange is perfect!
So... any word on the paint color? :)
